The McBride/Pelzman house built in 1904 has significant cultural and heritage significance in early Strathcona development. The shop was built and renovated over time to include enclosed sides and has had continuous light industrial use since first built. The main source of timber for the construction was wood reclaimed from a mill in New Westminster in the ’40s. In the 80’s it hosted a birthday party night with Joey Keithley (aka Joey ‘Shithead’) of DOA playing to a large crowd. In the last 10 years, it has been used mainly as a multimedia and crafting studio.
