Many aspects of an artist’s career involve professional documentation and written materials, be they for proposals to galleries or grantors, sales, and presenting one’s work to the public online. This workshop will introduce best practices for the artist’s professional portfolio, including the artist resume, biography, statement, and artwork documentation. Participants will be guided through determining which approach is best suited to their needs, and will consider samples to leave better equipped to refine their own materials. *** This workshop is almost sold out. Taught by Annie Briard
Annie Briard has extensive teaching experience including as an Instructor in the undergraduate program at Emily Carr where she teaches Professional Practice, Issues in Contemporary Art, The Business of Art Practice and Intro to Digital Media. Since 2015 she has been the Public Engagement Progammer at ECUAD and previously was the Director at CARFAC.
Currently she is on the Programming Committee for 23 Days at Sea Residency Access Gallery where she is also a Board Member.
