Artists Agreement

  1. You regularly work out of your studio, which is located within the Crawl boundaries of Columbia Street to Victoria Drive, and 1st Avenue to the waterfront.
  2. You will not sublet your studio or rent out space to other artists specifically for the Crawl festival. The Eastside Culture Crawl is a public studio visit with artists in their own workspace.
  3. Your artwork must be one of a kind and created by you. Although you may use other people or services to assist in the production of your artwork, it may not be mass-produced. Mass-produced work, and other non-visual artworks such as food and culinary arts are not eligible.
  4. You agree to have your studio open during all Crawl hours and will be present in your studio for the full 4 days of the festival.
  5. Each artist in your studio must register individually and pay a membership fee. If you are operating under a business name and/or collective with more then one artist, each artist must register.
  6. You must be 18 years of age and over.
  7. If your studio is in a residential apartment building you must obtain permission from the building manager. If you do not have a separate/private entrance you must have someone at the door to let people in and walk them to your studio.
  8. You accept responsibility for visitors to your studio space and will set up your studio to provide a safe environment for public.
  9. The EAS advises all Crawl participants to secure liability insurance for their studio.
  10. The EAS does not allow alcoholic beverages to be served to the public during Crawl hours.
  11. The EAS is not responsible for individual sales. It does not take any commission on artworks sold.
  12. The EAS is not responsible for technical difficulties related to the website or any other services.
  13. You must read and commit to the terms in this Artist Agreement before you register for the Eastside Culture Crawl Festival.  Indicate you have read, understand, and agree to these conditions by checking the box at the bottom of this page.
  14. As a participating artist, if you are found to violate any part of the Artist Agreement you will not be permitted to register the following year. If you register, and do not meet the eligibility requirements, your profile will be removed from the website and you will be charged a $35 administration fee to cover the cost of processing.
