Humans can drop in and play with clay while visiting the studio. We will be doing short demos and people will be able to make small pieces such as plates, bowls, pinch pots and more. Clay will be provided. If they choose to keep their piece, firing will be an optional additional cost. First come and drop in.

Emina is a Bosnian ceramicist living and working in Vancouver. With a focus on creating one of a kind pieces that blur the line between function and art; utilitarian in nature but have the ability to stand alone as a sculpture or a decorative piece. With a background in Communications Design, Emina brings a unique perspective to her work, incorporating design principles and drawing inspiration from architecture and clean lines, she is committed to exploring form and function while merging aesthetics with utility. Inspired by nature and the natural environment, her shapes take an organic form that feel harmonious with its surroundings, and establish a connection between the clay and it’s environment. She spends time feeling the clay bodies to see how far they can be pushed. The result are often warped pieces that challenge traditional notions of pottery. Emina is currently working on a dinnerware collection and playing with the idea of light fixtures.
