aly d. is a local artist-activist who concerns herself with the collision and osculations of public and private spheres, the harmony found in chaos, and the things we can learn from the quietest of voices. she is a wiggling child, a somewhat shy noise-maker, a clown at arms-length. for most part she is a self-taught artist, but acknowledges the profound support of her solid albeit ever-fluid community. Born and raised in East Van, aly strives to infuse everything she makes with a sense of place, cacophony, and raw sensation.
