Uplift is a large scale interactive art installation which is going to be designed and produced by a team of students before taking on a life of its own as part of the Eastside Culture Crawl event at MakerLabs. It is an immersive experience that allows people to contribute, explore, discover and be playful. The art piece consists of hundreds of notes held up by helium balloons and is inspired by Heath Robinson’s low tech designs which allow people of all ages to contribute to their creation. The magic is not in the mystery of technology but in the joyful simplicity.
