Description
Instagram is a mobile-based photo sharing app with 100 million active users, and the favourite Social Media tool for creative people. Rachael Ashe will demonstrate the potential of Instagram as a means for showcasing artwork, sharing process, and engaging a local and international online audience. The workshop will include a thorough exploration of Instagram functionality, how to use hashtags, apps to use with Instagram, building an audience, promoting your work etc.
Each student attending the workshop must come with Instagram pre-installed on a digital device, and an account already set up.
This workshop will run from 6:30-8:30pm on Tuesday, September 23 at the Culture Crawl office. . Maximum number of participants: 12

Rachael Ashe is a self-taught artist working in paper cut and installation, and has a background in photography. This is her fifth year participating in the Eastside Culture Crawl. She is a long time user of social media tools and uses Instagram on a daily basis to share her work, and to find inspiration.
