The ECCS is offering a series of 2 artist development workshops this summer – Marketing For Artists (May 30) and Pricing Artwork (July 4). Taught by Annie Briard, these workshops are open to both Crawl and non-Crawl artists. Space is limited, register today!
PRICING ARTWORK

How is pricing best determined for an artwork? In which ways is a print priced differently from a painting? Which factors influence how much a collector might be willing to spend? This workshop will use group activities and case studies for participants to discuss pricing approaches for artists.
$15 + GST for CRAWL ARTISTS
$20 + GST for NON-CRAWL ARTISTS

Taught by Annie Briard
Annie Briard’s work challenges visual perception through video, photography and installation. Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions across Canada and groups shows, festivals and fairs internationally at the Three Shadows Photography Centre (Beijing), Lincoln Film Centre New York, the Switzerland Architecture Museum (Basel), among others. Briard’s practice has been awarded numerous public art commissions, grants and is continuously developped through artist residencies abroad. She holds a BFA from Concordia University, and an MFA from Emily Carr University where she currently teaches, manages public programming for the faculty of art, and chairs the degree exhibition. The workshops she is leading for the Eastside Culture Crawl draw from her experience in arts leadership including the directorship of CARFAC BC and executive roles for cultural NPOs and galleries in Quebec. www.anniebriard.com
